PowerA Has Turned Fortnite’s Peely Into A Nintendo Switch Controller

PowerA has teamed up with several games and series to create officially licensed controllers and accessories for all three leading console creators, but its newest team-up might be its biggest to date. The peripheral creator has partnered with Epic Games to create some unique Fortnite accessories for Nintendo Switch and Xbox, the former's collection including a controller that looks like it is made out of nothing but Peely.

The Switch's PowerA Fortnite collection is made up of three items, all of which are themed after the island's resident banana. The controller is almost entirely yellow with Peely's smiling face in the middle. Good to know they're still in high spirits despite presumably being blended and turned into a controller. Other Peely Switch items include a case that pops a pair of Victory Royale shades on the banana, and wired earbuds, one yellow and the other blue with a Peely-pattern bag to keep them in.

Xbox players are getting something entirely different from PowerA. Its new Fortnite controller is inspired by Midas rather than Peely, making for a far more serious-looking accessory to use when eliminating your enemies. The reskin of PowerA's Advantage Controller is black and gold with Midas's likeness on the right grip. The Midas controller includes the same features as the Advantage, including three-way trigger locks and two mappable buttons, allowing you to customize the controller to the way you play Fortnite.

Even if these controllers and accessories don't improve your Fortnite prowess, they will guarantee you look good trying. Each of the four new accessories comes with a cosmetic only people who own these items will be able to unlock. The Peely controller comes with a Prickly Axe Pickaxe, the case a Rocket Rodeo Emote, and the earbuds include the It's Complicated Emote. Pick up the Midas controller and you'll get the Storm King First Pickaxe.

All four of PowerA's Fortnite items are available now through the company's official site, on Amazon, or at GameStop. You can find links to the Peely and Midas controllers above. The earbuds are already listed as out of stock, which either means they've not gone live yet, or they've been the most popular of the four new items by quite some way.
